Morrisons has just announced the return of a blonde chocolate Easter egg – but once again, everyone's saying the same thing.

Yep, Easter eggs are back in supermarkets, but this one in particular has set tongues wagging.

What do you see when you clap your eyes on this bad boy?

That's right...a potato!

The product is actually named Morrisons' Best Belgian White and Blonde Chocolate Easter Egg, despite its rather carby appearance.

It costs £5, and is actually part of the supermarket’s own premium collection, made with an indulgent Belgian white and blonde chocolate shell, with biscuit pieces in it, too.

Despite the fact it sounds rather delicious, when the egg was shared on Kev's Snack Reviews Facebook page, the response was all about its spud like aesthetic.

"Mmm potato egg," wrote one person in the comments.

Whilst another wrote: "Looks like a spud".

"Surely that's a potato," chimed in a third.

As a fourth noted: "I'm glad I wasn't the only one that thought it was a potato".

The chocolate egg weighs 240g, and is said to offer "mouth-watering moment of indulgence with every bite".

And if the reviews last year were anything to go by, it's certainly worth purchasing. You can find your nearest Morrisons here.

In case you don't know what blonde chocolate is, it's basically white chocolate cooked at a lower temperature and for a longer period of time.

This cooking method results in the Maillard reaction – a chemical reaction that takes place between sugars and amino acids.

Whilst people often describe blonde chocolate as caramelised – it’s not *just* caramelised. Although both are non-enzymatic browning techniques, the Maillard reaction differs from caramelisation because it manipulates the flavour of the amino acids in the milk as well as the sugar.

This is what gives a distinctive toasty caramelised flavour and creates the beige colour that the chocolate is famous for.

Yum. Potato-like or not, we're certainly game to buy one.
