There aren’t many famous faces left in Celebrity Best Home Cook 2021.
However, this year’s series has been the perfect antidote to lockdown blues.
Each week, viewers enjoy a feast of delicious and occasionally terrible homecooked dishes. It’s no wonder that the show has won fans across the country.

Who left Celebrity Best Home Cook?
After five episodes of fierce cooking, five competitors have left Celebrity best home cook.
Although the judges didn’t evict anyone in episode four, two celebrity got the boot in Tuesday’s bloodbath.
For anyone who’s missed out on the drama to date, here are the celebrities who have left to date.
Desiree Burch
The popular comic was the first to bite the dust, coming unstuck with the Swiss roll eliminator round challenge. However, she did impress earlier in the episode with her take on tacos.

Gareth Thomas
The former Welsh rugby captain looked a reasonably strong candidate after week one of the competition. However, Thomas soon came unstuck by his attempt at a pie.

Ruth Madeley
Actor Ruth Madeley managed to survive a tough eliminator round back in Episode One. Unfortunately, the Years and Years star was found wanting after her attempt at Schnitzel.

Karim Zeroual
The CBBC presenter and Strictly Come Dancing had already led a charmed life, having survived the eliminator in three out of the previous four episodes. Eventually, however, his luck ran out in episode five as he was one of two victims in a double elimination.

Ed Byrne
Comedian Ed Byrne had actually been a reasonably strong participant and was named as one of the judges favourites in episode two. Despite this, the judges had problems with his take on a Sunday roast.

Shobna Gulati
The 54-year-old actor was a consistent performer throughout the series, three times being marked out as one of the judges favourites. However, she had a narrow escape at the end of episode five, before finally falling short in episode six.

At the halfway point in the series, celebs are still left standing.
All apart from one have been ranked at the top of the tree, suggesting competition is intense. Here’s who remains in the running.
Tom Read Wilson
The Celebs Go Dating receptionist has had several brushes with the exit door, coming close in both episode three and five. However, he has also won plaudits for his tacos and Sunday roast, so may well be in with a shot.

Ferne McCann
The TOWIE star came close to elimination in episode three but saved herself with a stellar schnitzel. She has also ranked near the top of the tree in episodes one, four and five, so is definitely a contender.

Rachel Johnson
The journalist, author and sister to the Prime Minister has impressed with an exceptional example of a roast dinner. However, she struggled slightly in episode four before the judges decided that no one should face the exit door.

Ed Balls
The former politician and erstwhile Strictly star has had an up and down experience on the show. Despite three times being recognised as one of the top cooks, he has also found himself at the bottom for the previous two episodes.

When is the Celebrity Best Home Cook Final?
The final Celebrity Best Home Cook episode is set to air next Wednesday (February 17th).

Two episodes of the show air each week on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, meaning that there are only three episodes to go.
However, given how close the competition is, there are plenty of twists and turns still to come.
