Treat your guests (or yourself!) to this DEAD velvet brownie with a cream cheese topping! Add the melted marshmallow spiderwebs and this is the perfect halloween party pleaser.
Method
For the Brownie Layer
In a small bowl, add the butter, sugar, vanilla and eggs. Mix until well combined.
Then add the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and mix with a spatula until just combined.
Reserve 1/4 cup of the batter for the swirls then pour the remaining batter into the prepared baking dish.
For the Cream Cheese Layer
In a medium bowl, add the cream cheese, sugar, egg, & vanilla. Blend until smooth.
Add in the red food coloring and stir to combine.
Gently spread the cream cheese layer on top of the brownie batter.
Drop tablespoons of the remaining brownie batter on top and gently swirl with a toothpick or skewer.
Bake for 30-35 minutes or until set. Remove and let cool completely before slicing.
For decoration (Optional):
Heat a large white marshmallow in the microwave for a few seconds.
Mix with a spoon to cool slightly.
Using both hands take a small blob of melted marshmallow and using your fingertips stretch out the the mallow to create spiderwebs.
Lay on top your brownie until the desired effect has been reached!
