Ingredients

  • Premade Puff Pastry Sheet
  • Nutella
  • 100gSoft Light Brown Sugar
  • 50gCaster Sugar
  • 113gSalted Butter
  • 1Large Egg
  • 180gSelf Raising Flour
  • 1/2 TspBicarbonate of Soda
  • Milk Chocolate Drops
  • Chopped Hazelnuts

These are the best of both worlds - crispy and flaky puff pastry swirls stuffed with Nutella and chocolate chip cookie dough that stays a little bit gooey in the centre. Absolute perfection, and super simple to pull together too.

Method

  • Combine your two sugars and the soft butter in a large bowl and mix until it’s fluffy and pale in colour.
  • Then beat in the eggs, one at a time and until fully combined.
  • Sieve the dry ingredients (the flour, bicarbonate and salt) and add to the mixture. Mix until combined, but don’t over mix.
  • To finish your cookie dough, fold through your chocolate drops. Then to leave to one side while you prepare the dough.
  • Roll out your pre-made puff pastry and slice vertically to create long strips. Chill again if needed.
  • Melt then spread over a thin layer of nutella.
  • Using a piping bag, pipe lines of cookie dough along each of the strips of dough. The starting at one end roll each stripe into a swirl.
  • Once rolled, brush with an egg wash and sprinkle over with chopped hazelnuts.
  • Preheat your Airfryer to 180ºC and then bake one for 18 to 20 mins until golden brown,
  • Place on a wire rack to cool, enjoy warm.
  • The rest can be chilled and frozen until you're in dire need for a yummy freshly baked sweet treat!
  • What do you think of the recipe?
